Should I Post 2 reels a day?

by Maria Feer

Instagram recommends you do 5-7 Reels per week. I don’t think you need to do one every day, BUT the ratio of Reels that actually took off on my account to the amount that I did is small (so posting them often is important)..

Why did my first reel get so many views?

This is because when a user watches more and more reels from the same song, the Instagram algorithm makes sure to add more of the same videos to their feeds. So, naturally, this makes the song very popular.

Why do my reels get less views?

Can a reel go viral days later?

In most cases, if your Reel gains momentum within an hour of posting, you can be pretty sure it’ll go viral. On the other hand, if it’s struggling to get any engagement after that time, it’s unlikely to take off.

Why did my reel go viral?

In reality, going viral simply means that your piece of content is reaching more people than it normally does. Say you have 5000 followers and your Instagram post normally reaches 3000 people. But you post a reel that reaches 10,000 people and has over 10,000 plays–that reel has gone viral for you.

How many views does the average reel get?

They average more than 1.2 million views and get hundreds of thousands of likes on each Reel.

Does Instagram punish you for archiving posts?

Archiving preserves the likes and comments on the post, so it does not affect your engagement metrics when you archive certain posts. That being said, archiving popular posts will affect your engagement on that post, since users will no longer be able to access it to like, comment, or share it on Instagram.

Does Instagram punish you for deleting posts?

Technically, no. There are no negative repercussions from deleting old posts from your account. The only downside that could come from removing old posts is that once the posts are deleted, so too are their accompanying hashtags. Your photo will no longer gain traction once your post is deleted.

Does archiving hurt engagement? Unlike deletion, archiving these posts retains the engagement and comments. If you’ve required users to answer a question or tag a friend in the comments, these can be useful to return to at a later date.

How many views is viral on reels?
