Does TextNow change your number?
With TextNow, you have the option to change your phone number once every fifteen days.
Can you use TextNow on two phones?
Users also have the ability to use one number on multiple devices by simply logging into their TextNow account on any of our supported platforms (Android, iOS, desktop).
Can I get my number back?
Most carriers offer options for the phone number, including parking and porting. Unless you use one of these services, you lose the number to the carrier, who reassigns it to a different user. Inquiring with the carrier is best done in person when feasible to expedite the process.
Does TextNow delete your account?
Textnow does not delete free accounts. However, they do offer an alternative solution to deletion. If you sign out of your free TextNow account, the account will go dormant after 3 days of inactivity. This means at that time your account will be deactivated.

Yes. TextNow allows you to use your local phone number, so that you get cheaper cell phone plan without losing your number. To port your number into TextNow you need to provide account number* and PIN (if you have one) from your previous carrier, along with the correct billing address for the number.

Can you recover TextNow messages?
Every call and text you make through TextNow will be recorded in your account’s history, being able to be accessed in future times. If you have deleted your account history or phone numbers from your account, you will no longer be able to access the conversation history from that person.
Can you use * 67 on TextNow?
Does * 67 work on TextNow? Any number you call while using *67 or the local version will not be able to redial your number. But keep in mind that this only works for phone calls, not text messages.
How do I get my old phone numbers back?
Restore contacts from backups
- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Tap Google.
- Tap Set up & restore.
- Tap Restore contacts.
- If you have multiple Google Accounts, to choose which account’s contacts to restore, tap From account.
- Tap the phone with the contacts to copy.
Can I get my old number back T Mobile?
We do actually have a way of requesting your old number back depending on how long ago you had it changed. Just Contact Us when you have some time and let them know you want your old number back.
Is there an app where I can use my old phone number?
The new app Hotel My Phone lets you create a virtual copy of your forgotten or dead phone on a borrowed phone.
What happens when you delete TextNow app?
If you’re not paying for our Ad-Free+ service, simply delete the TextNow app from your device to stop using it. Within a few days of inactivity, any existing phone numbers tied to the account will be removed and it can no longer receive messages or calls.
